We're WAITINGUntil the Covid-19 situation is under control, we're waiting to start our program. Be safe! Who we areWe are TBN road cyclists who like to ride on unpaved roads. This allows us to explore thousands of kilometres of quiet and beautiful terrain all around the province. We generally ride on roads within an hour's drive of Toronto. However, we sometimes go to more distant or remote corners of the province. JOINING USWe welcome you to join us. Gravel riding is pretty rule free. That's part of the fun. But you will be more comfortable - and safer - with tire sizes north of 33mm. We do not ride with a "sweep". Thus, riders must be self-sufficient. Riders need to bring the map and cue sheet for the route, or download the route to their Garmin or smartphone device. Cycling helmets are required. Depending on the route and time of year, insect repellent may be a good idea. For more information, please contact the Gravel Growler coordinator, Ron Wilson, at gravelgrowlers@tbn.ca. OUR Routes LibraryThe GG library of routes and events is organized in the Wednesday Wheelies club account at Ride With GPS. Click here to go to the WW club account home page. To become an account member, click on the "Apply to Join" button on the right under the picture on the account home page. Gravel Growler riders will subsequently receive account privileges. | ScheduleWe do not currently have a ride schedule. When the Covid crisis abates, we will likely have regular rides on Sunday. In the meantime, we are using the TBN Gravel Growlers Facebook group to schedule rides. See below. TBN gravel growlers Facebook groupWe have a Facebook "private" group titled "TBN Gravel Growlers" which we we are currently using to schedule rides, typically on relatively short notice. Any member of the group is welcome to schedule a Gravel Growler ride. To join the TBN Gravel Growlers Facebook group, open your Facebook home page on your desktop or phone, use the search function at the top of the page to find "TBN Gravel Growlers", and then just click on the "+ Join" button. |
